IC-GIS is an optional web server module for Asset Integrity Manager (AIM) that integrates seamlessly with any standards-compliant Geospatial Information System (GIS).
In GIS terms, IC-GIS is a Web Feature Service (WFS) which provides access to AIM's asset integrity information according to the Open Geospatial Consortium's OpenGIS® interface standards.
GIS has become increasingly important as a visualisation, planning and review tool for the Oil & Gas Industry. GIS is used to decide where to drill a well, route a pipeline, build a refinery or reclaim a site, to name just a few applications.
Location-based asset, event and anomaly information is captured in Asset Integrity Manager and Inspection Manager throughout their day to day use. IC-GIS makes this information available for overlay on top of existing field schematics, seabed floor or onshore contour maps, or any other form of geospatial information available within the organisation.
- Collaborative Knowledge - IC-GIS enables the contribution of information from an organisation's Integrity Management group to the broader organisation
- Context - information from Asset Integrity Management can be viewed in the context of information from the entire organisation
- Access - IC-GIS provides an intuitive visual means for navigating to Asset Integrity Information
- Event and Anomaly data available from AIM can be shown as separate information layers
- Integrates easily with existing industry-standard GIS infrastructure such as ESRI's ArcGIS, GeoSamba, Gaia and others
- Conforms to the OpenGIS® Web Feature Service Interface Standard v1.0.0
- Utilises OpenGIS® Geography Markup Language (GML) as specified in the v2.1.2 Implementation Specification
